Contents

In this course, you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of the many powerful methods, as modern atom and molecular spectroscopy offer respect both basic studies and practical applications.

You will learn how to understand how spectroscopic methods in different energy ranges work, gain knowledge on the most common components forming parts of spectroscopic set-ups for use in different energy ranges with particular empasis on optical or laser-based techniques, and get a better understanding of what can be measured with spectroscopic techniques
have obtained a consolidated view of atomic and molecular structure.

The course consists of two modules:

  1. Exam, 6 credits
  2. Laboratory exercises, 1.5 credits

The course is given by the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) and follows the LTH study period and examination schedule.
