Downloading different formats

The formats that are available is dependent on the original content. If you don't see the option to download other formats, the original file type of the content is not supported. By clicking on the A icon (1) or the arrow (2), you will get the alternative formats available for the content you are interested in. Choose the format you want and then click "Download". The file will then either be opened directly in your browser or to your chosen download directory. You can then use this material offline, meaning you can access the content even when you don't have a connection to the internet. The content that you opened in your browser will be available for as long as you have the browser opened.

How fast the download goes depends on how large the file size is. It usually goes quickly and takes less than a minute.

Finding and using your downloaded content

The downloaded material is usually displayed at the bottom of your browser and will open automatically when you click on the file (1). If you are using a Mac, you can see your most recently downloaded files in the toolbar (2). You can also find all of your downloads in your "downloads" folder which you can find through your search function. Provided you have the correct software to open these files, they should open automatically after clicking on the files. In the example below, the MP3 file will open in iTunes if you do not choose to open the file with another program.
