Peer Reviews
Working with Peer Reviews
Generally only teachers are able to read and give feedback on submitted assignments; however, if the teacher activates the peer review function you will be able to read one or more of your course-mates submissions.
If peer reviewing has been enabled it is then also considered part of the assignment, meaning you must complete your peer reviewing to complete your assignment entirely.
Finding your Assigned Peer Review
Peer reviews are generally assigned after the final due date but could also be assigned later. When it is time to give a review it will show up in your To-do list on the homepage of the course. When you have opened the assignment you will see a list on the right hand side with the names of the people whose work you will be reviewing. Click on one of the names to get started.

Reviewing an Assignment
After you have selected a name from the list you will be taken to the page to complete the peer review
- Here you can download the submission if you wish to read it offline.
- If you select 'Show feedback' you can read the submission online. There are tools for marking you may use to give reviews directly in the text. Please observe that if the teacher has set the reviews as anonymous you will not be able to give a review directly in the text online.
- For your review to be marked as done you must also leave a general comment. If you have downloaded the work and made comments in a separate program such as Word you can upload the commented file here.
- In some cases the assignment may contain a rubric. If this is the case you must also open the rubric and give your review in the rubric as well.

Who can see the review?
Peer reviews are personal, this means you can only read the reviews you yourself have made on your course-mates work. If there are several people reviewing the same persons work, you will not be able to see what others have written. You will still of course be able to read other students reviews on your own work. Teachers can see all reviews and all comments that have been given.
