Logging into Zoom

When you use Zoom, it is important that you are always logged in via your student account. The first time you log into Zoom using your student account, you will have your LU account automatically activated, and you will become an authenticated user at LU. This means that you will have permission to hold meetings in the Zoom client, but also that you can participate in the class meetings your teacher organises. Being an authenticated user is one of the security measures that LU takes in its use of Zoom, and it is therefore important that you always log in via your student account. If you have previously used Zoom privately, you may be automatically logged in to your old account, so it is important that you check which account you are logged in to and switch to logging in via LU.

Logging in on the Web
Go to lu-se.zoom.us, Click on 'Sign in' and log in with your regular student account.

A new page with your login details will open, then you will return to the Zoom page open on your browser. If you are unsure whether you are logged in as an authenticated user, you can click on your user-icon, located in the upper right corner of the page (1). Here you see the email account you are currently logged in with and also a sign which indicates whether you are on a licensed (or premium) account (2). If you do not see this, you need to click sign out and log in again with your student account.

Logging in directly with the Client
The Zoom client is a form of the Zoom website which you can download and run on your computer like an application. You can download the client in advance or download it when you want to join your first meeting. After you have downloaded the Zoom-client, it is important that you log in correctly so that you become an authenticated user via LU. To do this, select 'Sign In with SSO' (1).

In the box that appears, type 'lu-se'. You will then be sent to the web to log in with your student account, after which you need to allow Zoom to reopen.

By clicking on your image in the right corner (1), you will see which email address you are logged in with if if you are licensed or on prem. Should it be the case that you download the client and log in directly, it is probably because you have an old account's settings saved. If this is the case, simply go to your profile picture and scroll to the bottom of the menu, where you can click 'Sign Out' (2) and then log in again, this time using SSO instead.

Logging in on mobile and tablet
Start by downloading the Zoom app. Once the app is downloaded, open it and select 'Sign in' (1). It is important that you choose to Sign In with SSO (2). After logging in and clicking on Open (5), you will come to the start page in the app (6).
