Joining a Group

Often you will be assigned to a group by your teacher, but sometimes you will have to join a group yourself. To find which groups you can join, go to your course homepage, click on 'People' in the course menu, and then 'Groups'.

 

From here you can see the list of groups you can join. The groups with the 'Join' button are available and not yet full. If you click on the button you will have joined the group and will be automatically let in. It is possible to leave the group at the stage as long as the teacher has not locked the group, or that the group has become full.

 

When you have joined a group some of the previous options will change. Now you can click on 'Visit' to get to the group page of the group you have joined. You can also Leave (1) or switch to another group (3). If a lock symbol (2) is shown this means that the group is either locked or full and as a consequence you cannot join or leave that group.
