Course Menu

The course menu may look different depending on how your teacher has chosen to structure the course.  The homepage we use for this course is a classic homepage with information that will link you to other pages and modules with further information. The teacher may also design the homepage in other ways such as with a course overview or by having the modules as the home page; this can effect how the course and course menu looks. 

1. Finding the Course Menu

Find your course menu by first entering your course via the 'courses' tab (1). The course menu (2) is always to the right of the Canvas menu. 

2. Course Menu

The course menu contains navigation specific to your course (2).  This menu will look different for every course and the teacher decides which parts of the menu should be visible. It is common that the teacher keeps functions such as modules and people, but there are more than 10 different functions that could be visible depending on how the course navigation is structured. If your teacher uses functions such as assignments, grades and quizzes these will most likely be visible in the course menu.

3. Right Hand Menu

Use the right hand menu to see the course stream, calendar and notifications.

4. To-do List

This is where your upcoming submissions, groups, and any feedback you may receive will be found. Here you can click on the links which will redirect you to the relevant pages for more information.
