A teacher may automatically check for plagiarism

Have you ever wondered why you sometimes have to check a box confirming that the assignment you have submitted is your own work? That is because your teacher has chosen to automatically check all submissions for plagiarism in that particular assignment.

You should never submit anything that you have copied from someone else, regardless of whether the work is to be reviewed or not. Plagiarizing another person’s work is cheating and can lead to you being suspended from your education.

Write with academic integrity

It is not always easy to keep track of various sources in a writing process. To avoid plagiarism, learn how to cite or reference a source properly. Research is based on many people contributing knowledge to their scientific field. By citing the source correctly, you give them credit for their part in the research, while at the same time making your own conclusions more credible. This is called academic integrity.
