Studio
Watching a video:
1. Captions - Through this you are able to turn captions on and off, and make alterations.
2. Speed - Choose at what speed you want the video to play.
3. Quality - How good the video looks.
4. Download transcript - Get a textfile with the automatically generated speech recognition.
Using Studio with a laptop:
Studio is a tool within Canvas with which you can make video recordings. To get to the studio, click on the 'Studio' button, on the Canvas menu at the far left, at the bottom. You will be taken to your studio homepage, where you will be able to see all of the videos you have previously recorded. To upload or create new videos, click on one of the options offered by the top right hand corner menu, pictured below.
Getting Started with Studio (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge)
Under the button Create, you can use the functions in the video tool.
1. Studio Capture - Record your webcam or screen within the browser.
2. Screencast-O-Matic - a standalone tool that records your screen. With this function some basic editing can also be done (pictured below).
3. Add media: Upload a file from your device into Studio.

Upload from your phone:
From the Upload Form Device you can upload from your image library on your phone, or record directly with the camera. The finished video will then be end up in your library.
Using Studio with Firefox, Safari or other web browsers:
Screencast-O-Matic:
1. This is the frame of the recorded video. Everything within the black and white frame is recorded via Studio. You can adjust which portion of your screen Studio films to suit your needs.
2. The recording menu. Click on 'Rec' to begin recording your video, click on the cog icon to open up a settings panel and then click on the pen icon to draw your screenshot. Select 'Cancel' to Cancel.
3. You can choose whether you would like to record from your webcam, your screen display or a combination of both.
When you are happy with your recording, click on the 'Done' button and you will be shown a preview of your video.
1. Name your video and add a description.
2. Edit your video by clicking on the 'Edit' button, or rerecord your video with the 'Redo' button. You can delete your video by clicking on 'Cancel'.
3. When you are happy with the video, you can upload it to your studio by clicking 'Upload'. It will not be automatically shared with anyone else at this point.
After uploading your video it will be added to your private video on your Canvas Studio homepage. By clicking on your video you will have the option to use several good features:
1. Information about your video such as its title, description an upload date.
2. The possibility to add comments directly to your video that others can respond to.
3. See statistics on how many people have watched your video.
4. The video will automatically be captioned. All you need to do is review them and hit publish, to get the video captioned.
Sharing Your Video
Your Studio library is private, and you need to give others specific access to allow them to watch your videos.
Sharing with another person:
Click on the three dots and choose Share media.
Enter the persons name. Obs: They need to have opened up their own studio library, to be visible.
