Discussions

Discussion boards can be used to discuss certain topics, presenting one self or to ask questions. Your teacher will decide how the discussion function should be used in your course.

If discussions are used in your course you will find the function in your course menu. Your teacher may adjust certain settings  that will change how the discussion boards will function. For example, the settings may only allow students who have already published a post to see what others have posted, as well as allowing students remove or edit their own posts or not.

A discussion does not necessarily need to be text based, it could also take form as a picture or film. When responding to a discussion you may also respond with different media forms.

To access the discussions you have o click on Discussions in the Canvas menu. When you then click on a discussion and on 'Reply' you will be shown a text editing tool. From here you can write your text and also:

(1) Insert/edit media

(2) Add pictures

(3) Add media content from other sources such as YouTube or Studio.
