A selection of GenAI tools to try
We strongly recommend that you try out GenAI tools for yourself. This does not mean that you have to use them in any professional context, but it will help you to make a decision if you test out a few activities.
You can start with a tool called Bing Copilot. Lund university has a licence for this and there are security and privacy guarantees on the use of your data. Note that software can be updated and may sometimes look slightly different but the basic process is still the same.
Once you have logged in, you will be able to type in a question, which is often called a prompt when GenAI tools are used. As part of the privacy guarantees, the searches you make are not saved, so you will need to copy anything.
There are a couple of other tools you might want to try, which don't require you to open an account, but we don't know what happens to the information you put in. Never put any personal information into the prompts or questions. Again, you need to copy anything you want to keep as it won't be saved.

Of course, you may also want to try out the most famous tool, ChatGPT - https://chatgpt.com/ Links to an external site. - you need to create an account, and the privacy policy seems to change fairly often, so it is up to you whether you do that or not. Because you have created an account, the outputs do get saved and you can return to them later.
