Your academic teacher identity: Wrapping up and moving on

In the previous three sections of this module you – individually and/or together with your colleagues – have considered what constitutes your academic identity as a whole at this point in time. As said in the introductory section, identities are never static, and we have therefore encouraged you to now and then take some time to ponder upon how you experience your present situation, how well you feel it resonates with what you want, what you can do in order to continuously improve and develop. You have in particular been asked to consider the teacher part of your academic identity and what you can do in order to continuously develop this part.

Perhaps you are now moving on to the other modules of this online course. If so, after you have finished, it might be a good idea to take some time to return to the notes you made in relation to the reflection tasks above - how do you feel when reading them? Have you changed views in any regard or do you have new ideas on how to move on? Perhaps the reflection questions suggested above can also be of inspiration to return to now and then in your future pursuit as an academic teacher.
