Video: Significant conversations and significant networks
In this video you will be introduced to some of the research on who academics talk to about their teaching. The underlying assumption is that teaching culture is created through day-to-day interactions, that provide us with opportunities for meaning making. Our teaching culture, in turn, influences our way to think about and practice teaching. It seems, based on this research, that most academics have small networks of trusted people that they talk to about teaching. They are significant because we let ourselves be influenced by these conversations and these networks.
