Developing your academic teacher identity in a collegial context

We will now look at how you can develop as an academic teacher within the collegial context within which you operate, and how this is affected by the attitudes, interests and skills of your colleagues and by the collegial culture you form together.

We believe that, as a point of departure, it is important that we recognize the potential breadth in academic identity; that our academic identities consists of many parts (we are teachers, researchers, administrators, communicators, etcetera). What you appreciate as central and defining parts of your identity are therefore not necessarily the same as that of your colleagues - and that’s ok!
