Reflection questions 1

Now think about in what ways these regulations or guidelines may either support or restrict your freedom to practice in your role as a teacher (plan and design courses, facilitate student learning, assess learning, interact with students etc). Which of these are non-negotiable and which are recommendations? What implications do they have for you as an academic teacher when it comes to responsibilities, workload, resources, existing support structures, student-teacher relations, ethical considerations, etc? Jot down a few key words or sentences that springs to mind, or draw a simple mind map where you connect areas of your praxis with the directive(s) you have chosen. The aim  of this activity is to help you start sketching a picture of what aspects of your work influence and are influenced by these regulations.
