In this module of Developing as an academic teacher, we will focus on your collegial context. What influence do your students, your colleagues, your leaders, and your institution have on your professional development? Some research indicates that it is quite a lot. Over time we shape values, norms and traditions, that become ”the way we do things around here”. So, in what way do you and your colleagues together shape your understanding of and practices in relation to teaching and student learning?

We will introduce you to concepts such as significant networks, and academic microcultures, to assist your reflections and potentially discussions with colleagues.
