Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I forgot to apply for next semester's courses. What should I do?

If you have forgotten to apply for your courses, or missed the deadline to accept the courses you applied for, you need to submit a late application. If you are eligible, you will become a reserve and get admitted if there is space for you on the course. Contact studievagledning@fysik.lu.se if you need any advice.

Most of our courses open for late application, and you can apply for them via www.antagning.se. Late application usually opens one month before the course starts. Degree and project courses open at the same time, but close the day after the semester starts. For exact dates, please contact student administration.

I want to complete an old course. Should I apply for it again?

No. If you have preciously been registered for a course, you cannot apply for it again. But you can re-register for the course in order to complete it. Contact the study advisor in order to get re-registered.

If the course is very old, some of the course parts might have been permanently removed from the curricula. If so, you may not be able to complete the course as it is.

Also: please note that you can only take part in labs if there is room for you in a lab group. We have to prioritise the students taking the course for the first time.
