Contents

The purpose of the course is familiarise students with theoretical and experimental nuclear physics. The course will focus on nuclear structure and reactions models, experiments, and their scientific applications. Furthermore, computational and experimental laboratories will introduce students to research methods used in modern nuclear physics.

The course consists of three modules:

Exam, 3.5 credits
Laboratory exercises and reports, 2 credits
Computer exercises and assignments, 2 credits.

- FKFN40: Fail, 3, 4, 5

Entry requirements

Science faculty

To be admitted to the course, students must have 75 credits in physics and 45 credits in mathematics, alternatively a bachelor degree in physics is required – in both cases having a knowledge corresponding to FYSB22 Basic Quantum Mechanics, 7.5 credits and FYSC22 Nuclear Physics, 7.5 credits as well as English 6/B.
