Corona adaptations

Course-specific measures

The information below applies to the Control module of the course. Please contact Andreas and Frank if you have questions regarding Corona adaptations of the statistics and mathematics modules, and Kristian if your questions concerning the Control moduel are not answered below.

Sick? Stay home!

If you have even the slightest symptoms of a cold/infection, stay at home and inform the person responsible (see personnel page) for what you miss out on. We will arrange for additional opportunities to complete mandatory parts of the course in such cases. We reserve the right to send home anyone who shows even slight signs of possible infection.

If you stay at home, we ask you to use the Discussion forums (linked from the left ribbon) as the preferred means to ask questions. (This is also a great idea for students attending since it provides everyone involved to see, answer, and read answers to your questions.). Additional alternatives (e.g. Zoom sessions) to the scheduled on-campus activities will be scheduled as deemed needed.

Keep a good hand hygiene

Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Particularly before attending course sessions, and interacting with the equipment. Avoid touching your face; sneeze and cough into your elbow. No food or beverages will be allowed during any scheduled course events.

Lectures

The lectures will be given in a room sufficiently large to maintain a mandatory 1.5 m distance between everyone present, including teaching staff. The material will be made available online for those who cannot attend due to symptoms.

QA session

The QA sessions will be conducted online over Zoom. Links are found on the individual module pages

Laboratory work

In the course laboratory, we limit work to one student per hardware setup and mandate 1.5 m of the distance between everyone. Face masks and hand sanitizers will be available for free.  Carefully sanitize every piece of equipment (keyboard, mouse, screen, lab equipment) before and after you use it. Throughout the course, we will offer the possibility to work remotely with the lab equipment, in addition to the scheduled times. More info on this here.
