Introduction to University Physics, with Mechanics and Electromagnetics (FYSA22 and FYSA23)
Welcome to the Canvas information page for the course
Introduction to University Physics, with Mechanics and Electricity, 15 credits
given by the Department of Physics.
Please note: This page contains only general information about the course. It does not contain any course material. If you are a student on the course you have to log in to the Canvas portal in the site navigation to find the courses of your programme.
Content
The two introductory physics courses are the first physics courses for students of the programme Bachelor of Science in Physics. The courses are:
- FYSA22: Introduction to University Physics, with Mechanics, 7,5 credits
- FYSA23: Introduction to University Physics, with Electricity, 7,5 credits
The courses are compulsory for your first-cycle studies in physics, no matter what physics specialisation you have applied for. The courses are given in full in English during spring semesters, and in Swedish during autumn semesters.
The course intends to give an introduction to university physics as a basis for further studies in physics. Especially, basic mechanics and electromagnetism are highlighted as foundations of further physics.
