Oral exam

The course ends with individual oral exams. The final grade is determined by the oral exam, only.
All other compulsory parts (Lab1+2+3 and Project 1+2+3) must be passed before you are allowed to take the oral exam.
This is a "closed book" exam. No help of any kind allowed. You have to make a solemn declaration (på heder och samvete) to this effect as a Quiz in Canvas before the exam.:
Oral exam declaration
The oral exams start 8.15 Thursday 27 May and continue until Midsummer. They will also continue in the re-exam period in August.
Sign up in the Canvas calendar at least 24 hours in advance. You must mark the tick box for the course in the list of available calendars, otherwise you won't see it.
Each exam will take ca 45 minutes

- For Pass (G/3): answer the compulsory questions.

If you Fail at the oral exam, you get a re-exam, either before Midsummer (time allowing) or in August.
The oral exam through Zoom. Requirements:
- You must make the solemn declaration that you will not use any help.
- You must use your LU Zoom. Login with your STiL-account at: https://lu-se.zoom.us/

For security reasons, other accounts will be denied access. - You must have video the entire time, and good sound.
- You must show your identification (e.g. your LU-card) to the camera at the start of the exam.
- The link to the meeting will be mailed to you on the day of the exam.
- Writing will be done using the Zoom whiteboard. You may also use your Ipad or similar device that has a pen. Practice in advance! You can start a meeting with yourself and test. Make sure you can make your handwriting fit reasonably in the available space. Some questions can also be answered by writing text, e.g., "sum_i=1^n (y_i - yhat_i)^2 = ...".
- The exam will not be recorded.
Oral exam without Zoom:
If you cannot meet the Zoom requirements your only option is to wait until the university allows on-campus examinations again and then take the oral exam in its original form in a seminar room with a blackboard.
