Student IN
Incoming exchange students at Lund University are covered by Kammarkollegiets group insurance Student IN. This includes accident coverage, costs for home transport in case of illness or accident, liability coverage, legal expenses and property coverage.
In order to make a health insurance claim, bring the original receipts and a completed Student IN Claim Form to your exchange studies coordinator. Your claim will be signed and sent to Kammarkollegiet via your coordinator. It will take about 3 weeks for Kammarkollegiet to process the claim. Please make a copy of the claim form and receipts to keep for your own records. Read more about Kammarkollegiet's insurance here Links to an external site..
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
If you are an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen, you are also entitled to access public medical services for Swedish patient fees if you first register with the social insurance office in your home country. You will be issued with a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). You need to have the card with you when you seek medical attention at the health care clinic or hospital in Sweden. Hereby, you will pay Swedish patient fees directly. You can still make a health insurance claim to Kammarkollegiet even if you have paid Swedish patient fees.

The Student Health Centre
The Student Health Centre offers counselling to Lund University students. Their staff work primarily with psychological problems that affect your ability to study, such as stress, worry, anxiety, depression, transitional issues and/or academic difficulties. This is in addition to other public and private health clinics where you can go for general medical issues, sexual health and contraception.
All information shared by you with their staff is held in the strictest confidence and is not communicated to anyone without your permission, except in the rare instance of a life-threatening situation.
You can book a first meeting with one of their counsellors through a web form.
