Pre-arrival checklist
- I have applied for SUSA (Swedish: introductory course for exchange students), (if I'm interested in learning some basic Swedish during the orientation weeks).
- In case of having dyslexia, visual impairment, ADHD or similar, I have read about what kind of support I can get and I remember to bring a doctor's certificate or documentation from my home university to Lund.
- I have applied for housing through LU Accommodation (LUACC), or started looking for other options.
- I have signed up for the mentor programme (if I am interested).
- My passport is valid for at least the duration of my stay in Sweden.
- I have applied for and received my Residence permit (if I need one).
- Since I am covered by Kammarkollegiet’s Student IN insurance, I have read through the Terms and Conditions Links to an external site. for my insurance.
- I have contacted my local bank to avoid any banking problems in Sweden, because I understand students staying in Sweden for less than six months will experience difficulties in opening a bank account in Sweden. I have a credit card from my home country that I can use in Sweden.
- I have looked into sustainable travel options to Lund and aim to be in Lund in time for Arrival Day and Orientation Weeks. If I am arriving later, I have informed my coordinators about this.
- I have checked the schedule and my courses are (almost) confirmed.
- I have read through the Pre-Arrival Guide for Exchange Students and checked the Orientation Week activities.
- I have followed the International Desk Facebook page to know about the latest news and events.
- I have followed the HTS Facebook page Links to an external site.to know about the latest from my student union.
- I have read LUACC's instructions about moving into my room, (if I'm offered housing from LUACC).
- I have arranged temporary housing solutions, if necessary, and have read BoPoolen's advice on how to avoid fraudsters. Links to an external site.
- I have marked the time and place for the compulsory Information Meeting at the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology.
- I have marked the time and place for my meeting with my coordinators.
- I have an adapter for my electrical appliances (if necessary).
- I have activated my student account before my arrival to Lund.
- I have my Letter of Acceptance and passport with me to Lund.
