Lab 3
General
Lab three is concerned with controlling the position of two masses, connected by a spring. The process is more complicated than the water tanks, and will give you an opportunity to see how state feedback can be employed for a more powerful controller than the simple PID controller. You will also work with state estimation, as well as time delays.
This lab is scheduled to weeks 6 and 7 of the course. Responsible is Manu Upadhyaya.
Important: If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 (see symptom list in Swedish Links to an external site. or English Links to an external site.) at the time of your booked laboratory session, you must not attend it. In this case, contact the lab responsible by e-mail as soon as possible, and we will find a new time for you to perform the laboratory exercise.
