Caption your video
Videos that has been uploaded after the 24th of March, will automatically get generated captions.
It might be easier for your students to hear your voice and read captions at the same time while watching your video. With Studio, you can create and adjust automatic captions in English, Swedish, and a number of other languages.
To optimize the automatically generated captions, and for you to spend as little time as possible editing the captions, please, observe the following recommendations before recording the video you are going to caption:
- Avoid disruptive sounds by choosing a silent room while recording your video. Wear a headset.
- Have a script, however short your video might be.
- Speak clearly. The clearer your speech, the more correct your captions will be.
Edit and publish your captions

- Click Captions
- Choose the language
Now you can edit the captions taking the following steps:
- Play your video by clicking play.
- This is where you see the automatically generated captions.
- Edit the captions in the text rows below the video.
- Save the changes when you are done editing. OBS! Your edit will also be saved automatically.
- Click Publish (up to the right) to publish your captions.
Search the captions
You can search your captions to find a certain word. This can come in handy e.g. if you see that the automatically generated captions consistently misspell a certain word.
- Write the word you want to search for. The word shows up in the captions in a different colour.
- You can now change that word to the word of your choice. Then, click on Replace all.
