Record video in Firefox, Safari or other browsers

Using Studio, you can easily create recordings showing only yourself. This is a good choice for giving feedback, introductions, or simple presentations. Here's how to do it:

Click on Studio in the green global menu to the left

Under Create in the upper right hand corner, there are three different options.

  1. Choose Screen Capture, to use the third-party tool calles Screencast-O-Matic. Where you can record your screen and webcam. Plus do some basic editing.

  2. Webcam capture, allowsyou to only record the webacm and upload directly to Studio.

Webcam Capture:

A window opens to choose some settings - choose

What camera you want to use. 

What microphone you want to use. NB Good sound quality is important, especially in longer videos! 

Click Start recording

A count-down starts... take a deep breath... 3 - 2 - 1 - and start talking!

Name your video and Save Media. This will upload the video to your Studio library.
