Start up and manage your Teams meeting in Canvas
When it's time to start up your meeting, visit the page you've created and follow the link to the meeting.
You will now have to choose how you would like to start up the meeting. We strongly recommend you to use the app.
- If you already have the app installed, click here.
- Choose the download button if you want to download the app.
- Connect to the meeting directly on the webbpage.
Before entering your Teams meeting, adjust microphone and camera to your preferred settings.
- Camera on or off
- Sharp or unsharp background
- Your microphone on or off
- Press here to start the meeting.
When your students enter the meeting room, they can connect in two different ways:
- By entering directly to the meeting (no waiting room). This is for the students who use the Teams app. We really recommend you to advice your students to download the app.
- By entering in a waiting room, this is for students who connect through the webpage. They are not logged in and these students needs to be approved by you to enter the room.
- Who is waiting in the lobby?
- Approve the students to join the meeting.
When the meeting is started, there are several thing that you can do.
- Share you screen
- More options, settings etc.
- Show chat
- Show list of participants.
