Activate Conferences in the course menu

Before using Conferences, you must make sure that it is visible in the navigation tree for your students or participants. If it is hidden it will be marked with the following cross-over eye:

To make it visible, please follow the following steps:

In the course navigation tree click on settings (1).  

Once you are in the course setting:

1. Click on the Navigation tab
   You can now see all the various functions that are available in the navigation tree. The ones on the top end of the column are visible to the student and the ones on the bottom are not. 
2. Find Conferences in the bottom end of the column and drag and drop it to the top 
3. You can also take this opportunity to rearrange your top menu according to your preference. 
4. Please do not forget to click on the save button at the bottom (not included in the screen shot below).

If it worked the crossed-over eye will have been removed and Conferences should be seen in the navigation tree if you login using the student view.
