For those who are used to lecturing in front of the board with a pen in hand, there are various solutions that work together with Zoom. Mainly, you can use the "Whiteboard" function.

Start "Whiteboard"

You will find the "Whiteboard" function in the menu bar inside your Zoom meeting.

1. Click the "Whiteboard" button.

2. Select the option you want. You can choose to create a new one or bring up an existing whiteboard that you have created before or someone has shared with you.

3. To create a new one click on the "New" button, choose whether participants should be able to edit or whether they should only see the Whiteboard and click "Create".

You can make your own default settings for Whiteboards. This is done at https://lu-se.zoom.us/ under "Settings" and "Whiteboard"
These settings then come up as defaults when you create a new Whiteboard in your meeting.
If you want to create a Whiteboard with different settings, you can easily go in and change it when you create a new Whiteboard.

You do this by clicking on the small arrow next to Whiteboards in the menu bar of your Zoom meeting and mark the settings you wish to use for this particular Whiteboard.

Under the "settings" icon with 3 parallel lines below, you will find different settings for your Whiteboard.

You can copy, duplicate, delete an object such as text box and "sticky note" by clicking the button with 3 dots in the menu bar.

Lazer
This button offers various functions that you can activate to make it easier for participants to pay attention to what you show on the screen.

Timer
To set a timer, click on the "timer" Set the time and click away from the window, now you see the time instead of the symbol for the timer.

Pages - Add more pages

You can add pages by clicking on the icon and "Add Page".
To delete pages, rename, copy, etc. click on the 3 dots on the page you want to delete or edit.

Present your Whiteboard in the meeting

There are two ways to present your Whiteboard, Present and Collaborate.

Present is used in larger meetings where the participants should not be able to edit, for example during lectures.

Collaborate is used in meetings where participants need to collaborate and be able to edit.

To share in Present mode:

1. select Presenting when you open your Whiteboard

2. Click on the arrow next to the eye and choose whether the participants should be allowed to choose to follow your presentation or whether it is mandatory.

When the choice is made, click on the eye and request that everyone follow your presentation "all eyes on me" and "Present"

If the participants themselves should be able to choose whether to follow your presentation or not, make the following choices instead:

1. Request follow me"

2. "Invite all to follow me" the participants then receive an invitation where they can choose whether they want to follow your presentation or not.
