Quick Guide to Zoom at LU
This is a quick guide for you to easily find information about the most basic and important functions in Zoom.
We recommend everyone to participate in a workshop about how to use Zoom. Dates and times are announced here.

Login to Zoom
Go to https://lu-se.zoom.us/ and log in with your LUCAT-id.

Participate in a Meeting
Click on the invite link you have received in the invitation. If it is your first time participating in a meeting, you need to download and install the Zoom client via https://lu-se.zoom.us/download Links to an external site.. For PC.LU.SE, download the client from Software Center, and for LUMAC from Self Service.

Create a New Meeting and Invite Participants
You can create a new meeting when you have logged in via https://lu-se.zoom.us/ Links to an external site. > Personal > Meetings. You can invite participants by sharing the invite link in the educational platform, sending it via email or from inside your meeting room.

Record Your Meeting
When recording a meeting via Zoom, the video will be downloaded to your computer when the meeting has ended. You can upload it to your teaching environment, e.g. via Studio in Canvas.

Create Groups (Breakout Rooms)
You can divide your participants into groups for e.g. beehives inside your meeting. Do this by using the function "Breakout Rooms".

Use the Chat
You can chat with everyone, but also send private messages to individual participants, in your meeting. You can also share links and files in the chat.

Share and Show Things from Your Screen
Use the function "Share Screen" in your meeting to show presentations, videos or browser windows. It is also possible to draw and annotate in order to show or explain something.

It is important to protect your digital meetings from intrusions and disruptions as much as possible.
