Student meetings online
You might want to enable your students to create meetings so that they can meet by themselves online?
Students might need a digital space to collectively prepare for a seminar or as part of a collaborative group work. Group pages in Canvas enables students within groups to create, manage and participant in online meetings through the Conferences tool. During a session in Conferences students can see each other, talk, show presentations or collaborate with texts etc.
Unfortunately Conferences low capacity for eMeetings has made it nearly impossible to start meetings. Our recommendation at the moment is to use Zoom or Teams. This works well for students also.
Group pages in Canvas are created automatically when you create your groups. The group pages are almost like a minicanvas. They have functions like announcements, their own calendar, collaborative tools, discussion boards and enables file sharing.
