Meet your students online

Do you need to meet your students virtually? Maybe you have an individual or group supervision session planned and need to rearrange it to a digital format?

Then you can use one of the following resources:

  • Zoom - if you are used to it or
  • Teams - if that's your preference.
  • Conferences - if you already have your students in Canvas

Meetings via Zoom

There is an updated guide on how to hold meetings in Zoom securely.

As a Lund University employee, you have access to Zoom and can invite students to your personal online-office or to a scheduled meeting-room.

Meetings via Teams

Teams is part of the Office package and can be accessed through the following link:  Download the Office365 and Teams app here (Link to an external website).

Please note that you need to login with your LUCAT-ID with the suffix "@lu.se"; i.e. abc-def@lu.se

Teams can be used both for e-meetings, chatt and collaboration spaces with your students (words, excel, OneNote etc).

If you have any questions or need support please do not hesitate to contact Service Desk (link to external website).

Meetings via Conferences

Unfortunately Conferences low capacity for eMeetings has made it nearly impossible to start meetings. Our recommendation at the moment is to use Zoom or Teams.

If your course is set up in Canvas, you can use the built-in tool Conferences in Canvas to easily set-up meetings with one or more students in your course. Please note that in order to schedule a conference with a specific group of students, choose the option Select individual members

Attention! You might need to activate Conference in your course menu in order to make it visible.
