FYSP10 – Advanced Project in Physics, 7.5 credits

Advanced Project in Physics, FYSP10 is a physics project work given at the 2nd cycle. For admission to the course, a degree of Bachelor of Science, 90 credits in physics, including 15 credits at second-cycle level, as well as English 6/B are required. The course further assumes that you have taken at least two advanced courses that are relevant for the project.

Registration requires that the student find a supervisor and a project on their own well in advance of the start of the course. FYSP10 cannot be included in an MSc degree together with a 60 hp degree project. The course does not include English language and library training.

The examination consists of a written and oral summary of the work. The supervisor must be a senior teacher at Lund University. The examiner is the Director of Studies.

The student and the supervisor must send a project plan to studierektorn@fysik.lu.se. Towards the end of the project, send the report and an invitation to the oral presentation to studierektorn@fysik.lu.se, as well as a copy of the presentation afterwards.

Finally, the supervisor sends an email to studierektorn@fysik.lu.se confirming that the student has passed all assessment criteria.

Course syllabus: in English or in Swedish.
