Examination

Bachelor's and master's projects

Examination date is proposed by the examiner, typically during the half-time meeting.

  • Examination is a public seminar
    • Required attendance: the student, the supervisor(s), the examiner and at least one co-examiner
    • Optional attendance: colleagues, members of public
  • Examination seminar agenda:
    • Brief introduction by the examiner (chair)
    • Brief introduction to the project by the supervisor
    • Presentation by the student (20-30 minutes)
    • Questions from the examiners and audience (15-20 minutes)
    • Grade deliberations among the examiners and the supervisors (5-10 minutes)
  • Post-exam: students upload final reports to the LUP Student Papers Portal, to be approved by the examiners
  • Examiners submit grades for registration once the reports are accessible via library

Applied project work

  • Applied project work (FYSB06) is examined by the supervisor
  • Examination form and report form are defined by the supervisor
  • Final grade is submitted for registration by the supervisor
