Lab sessions - general information
General
The course contains three labs that will be conducted on campus. See the corresponding page for more information on each lab. You will need to book times for your lab session ahead of time. For lab sessions 2 and 3 you are also expected to present your preparatory exercises.
For the preparatory exercises: Write your derivations and answers neatly (by hand), so that the lab responsible can follow your solutions!
Students usually appreciate the lab sessions as an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the course content by applying the theory to real processes. The positive effect is greater for those who are well prepared by having read through the lab instructions and relevant course material carefully before the session. We therefore recommend you to do this in order to make the most out of this learning opportunity!
The labs are performed in Lab C, 2nd floor in the M-building (above the east entrance).
Those who fail to show up to the lab without a valid reason, forget to sign up for the lab, or fail to submit preparatory exercises, will have to do the lab the next time the course is given. Fortunately, this is usually in the next study period.
You can take the exam without having done the labs.

Taking the lab at a later time
Persons who fail to show up to the lab without a valid reason, forget to sign up for the lab, or fail to complete the preparatory exercises ahead of time, will have to do the lab the next time the course is given. Fortunately, this is usually in the next study period:
lab1 and lab2 can be taken in all study periods (FRTF05 or FRTF10)
lab3 can be taken in lp1, lp2, lp3, but not in lp4 (FRTF05)
To take a lab in the next study period you must register for that course. For information about course schedule see this page.
