General
In Lab 3 you will control the position of two masses that are connected by a spring. The process is more complicated than the water tanks. It will therefore allow you to see how state feedback can be employed to get a more powerful controller than the simple PID controller. You will also work with state estimation, an might also experiment with the impact of time delays.
This lab is scheduled for weeks 6 and 7 of the course. You must sign up by the end of week 5!

Preparation
Before the lab it is important that you read through the instructions. To be allowed to perform the lab you must have completed the preparatory exercises in the lab instructions.

You need to bring a printed lab manual (or one bought at KFS) to the lab! The manual should not be filled in when you come to the Lab. If you have bought a manual second hand you must erase the writing.
