Course Format

There will be one lecture and one exercise each week (except for the 2 week break in October).

Lectures: Here we will present new theory and methodology illustrated by examples. Recordings with similar material from previous years are available in Canvas.

Exercises: On the exercises you will be able to work with the exercise problems and ask questions about them.

Labs=Handins: There are also 3 laboratory exercises where each lab has a mandatory handin. All labs can be done from home. To pass, you should hand in before the lab deadline (unless you have extraordinary circumstances, when you should apply for an extension by email to Anders).

Exam: The January exam is in the format of a 5 hour on-campus exam, where you will have access to your own computer with all tools, and all material in the form of books etc. (If you do not have a laptop to bring to the exam, you need to contact us before Dec 14.) You are of course not allowed to receive help from or communicate with other persons during the exam. Please also note that the purpose of the exam is to convince us that you have understood the course content. For each problem, you should explain how you have solved it, including what kind of tools and prompts you have used.

You can do the exam without having passed the labs. But you need to pass the labs to pass the course.
