Pre-Arrival Guide Autumn 2024
We are delighted that you are planning to study at Lund University, a non-profit Swedish university and one of Europe’s broadest and finest. We have created this Pre-Arrival Guide to help you prepare for your start at Lund University this autumn. While great care has been taken to make it as accurate as possible, be aware that things are changing rapidly these days and despite our best efforts to plan and provide good information, please keep yourself updated using the websites we provide in the guide.
This Pre-Arrival Guide is structured into the following two modules:
- General Information
- Practical Pre Arrival Information
Each module has pages with information and each page is dedicated to a specific issue or theme. To get an overlook of all the modules you can click "modules" on the left hand side menu. When you are on a page and you want to move to the next page, you can click the "next" at the bottom right corner and you will get to the next page.
Degree students study a 1-, 2-, or 3-year degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) where Lund University issues your degree. You have applied on www.universityadmissions.se or www.antagning.se and receive a Notification of Selection Results. Students who have applied for individual courses via www.universityadmissions.se or www.antagning.se can also follow directions for Degree students in this guide.
Exchange students
Exchange students typically study for 1–2 semesters. You receive a degree from your home university but transcripts will show that some courses have been taken at Lund University. You apply through your home university and receive a Letter of Acceptance from Lund University.
Double Degree and EU Joint Programme students
You will have at least two universities who will award your degree. You have likely applied to your programme at another university and will spend different amounts of time as a student at Lund University. Please always refer to the information you receive from your coordinator about specific dates and deadlines. This guide can be used for general information about Lund University.
