WELCOME LETTER Autumn2025 - Course VMFB43
Welcome to Lund University and the course VMFB43 Neuroscience and critical thinking (5 ECTS)
The course is worth 5 credits and is studied part-time (25%, about 10 hours per week) between September 5 and December 2, 2025. Teaching takes place online using Zoom (no obligatory meeting on campus). All lectures will be recorded and available on the course page in the learning platform Canvas.
On the first day of the course, you must attend roll call to keep your place on the course.

For those of you who received your admission notification on July 10 you must ACCEPT the admissions offer at universityadmissions.se Links to an external site. before July 18.
Those of you who received your admission notification in the second admission round (July 24th) or later, do not need to actively accept your admission, it is already final.

Register in Ladok and attend roll call on Zoom
You must register for the course online in Ladok
Links to an external site. between August 18 and 25. Online registration in Ladok is not the same as accepting your offer at universityadmissions.se. It is only once you have registered for the course in Ladok

Student Account at Lund University
Your student account will be created a few days after the second admission round to Lund University is completed (after July 25). You will receive an email from noreply_accountactivation@stu.lu.se with instructions on how to activate your student account. It is important that you remember to activate your student account. If you have not received this email, please contact LU Service Desk at servicedesk@lu.se or call 046-222 90 00. The desk's phone hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.
Note: if you have been admitted in August or later, you will have to activate your Student Account via https://passport.lu.se/ (click "Activate").

Zoom
Zoom is Lund University's digital meeting room. This course is internet-based and teaching is conducted on Zoom. You will need to download the Zoom app to your computer well before the first day of class. Please make sure to always log in with your Lund University Student Account and to download and update your Zoom app so that all functionality is available to you.
Course page in Canvas
With your student account, which will be created a few days after the second admission (after July 25), you will be able to log in to the course page on the learning platform in Canvas. First you will have to activate your account (read above under Student Account at Lund University). On the learning platform you will find more information about the course, such as the schedule, course assignments, and more. We appreciate your patience with questions about the course until you have activated your student account and made an online registration in Ladok. When that is done, you will be able to log in to Canvas.
