Welcome to Lund University and the course VMFB29 Advanced Cancer Biology (30 ECTS)


The course is worth 30 credits and is studied full-time (about 40 hours per week). Teaching takes place at the Faculty of Medicine, Sölvegatan 19 in Lund. You can find a preliminary schedule Download preliminary schedule here. After these first weeks, teaching will mainly take place on Wednesdays 9:00-11:00.

Admission

For those of you who received your admission notification on July 10 you must ACCEPT the admissions offer at universityadmissions.se Links to an external site. before July 18.

Those of you who received your admission notification in the second admission round (July 24th) or later, do not need to actively accept your admission, it is already final.

Declining?

If you do not wish to take the course in both the above cases of admission, please DECLINE the offer at Links to an external site.universityadmissions.se Links to an external site. as soon as possible. You can do so up until the day before the online registration in Ladok opens, on August 18. Thereafter, you need to contact course administrator, Caroline.Westin@med.lu.se. Please actively decline as soon as possible so that another applicant can be offered your place in time. 

Register in Ladok and attend roll call on Zoom

You must register for the course online in Ladok Links to an external site. between August 18 and 25. Online registration in Ladok is not the same as accepting your offer at universityadmissions.se. It is only once you have registered for the course in Ladok Links to an external site. that you formally accept your admission. If you are unable to register in Ladok during the registration period, you must contact the course administrator Caroline.Westin@med.lu.se as soon as possible to avoid losing your place on the course.

On the first day of the course, you must attend roll call to keep your place on the course. This takes place on Tuesday, September 2 at 9:00 at the Faculty of Medicine, Sölvegatan 19 in Lund, in room E11081 Lärdommen.

Student Account at Lund University

Your student account will be created a few days after the second admission round to Lund University is completed (after July 25). You will receive an email from noreply_accountactivation@stu.lu.se with instructions on how to activate your student account. It is important that you remember to activate your student account. If you have not received this email, please contact LU Service Desk at servicedesk@lu.se or call 046-222 90 00. The desk's phone hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.

Note: if you have been admitted in August or later, you will have to activate your Student Account via https://passport.lu.se/ (click "Activate").

Course page in Canvas

With your student account, which will be created a few days after the second admission (after July 25), you will be able to log in to the course page on the learning platform in Canvas. First you will have to activate your account (read above under Student Account at Lund University). On the learning platform you will find more information about the course, such as the schedule, course assignments, and more. We appreciate your patience with questions about the course until you have activated your student account and made an online registration in Ladok. When that is done, you will be able to log in to Canvas.
