Plugins
As Zotero is based on open code, there are a lot of different plugins available. A plugin is an added feature that you can add or remove as you please. To find Zotero plugins, search the internet for the function you would like and add "plugin". You can also do a search directly in Github Links to an external site.. Since anyone can create a plugin, the quality may vary.
To install a plugin:
- Download the plugin file (*.xpi)
- Open Zotero and go to Tools > Plugins
- Click the gear in the upper right corner
- Select "Install Plugin From File..."
- Navigate to the downloaded file, select it and click Open
Note that some plugins are only compatible with either Zotero version 6 or 7.
