Word: remove citation
Remove a citation
To remove a stand alone citation, just delete the reference from the text. If it was the last place in the text where the source was cited, the reference will also disappear from the bibliography.
If you have a citation that includes several sources, you can't delete one of them manually. To remove one of them, click on the citation and select "Add/Edit Citation". Then delete the citation you want to get rid of from the red search box, and click the Enter key:
Try removing the citation for Senanayake, 1987, and update the bibliography.
