What is Zotero?
Zotero is a research management application that works with your browser to collect, manage, and cite different types of sources. It's fairly easy to use, connects to your web browser and word processor where you do your work. Best of all it's free, open source and non profit.
What can you do with Zotero?
- Save references to your library from any online database, library catalogue or web page
- Add references manually for material that cannot be automatically imported
- Attach PDFs, notes and images to your references
- Organize your references in your Zotero library by for example project or subject
- Insert citations and create bibliographies in your text document (e.g. Word or Google Docs)
- Easily switch between different reference styles
- Synchronize your reference library with your online Zotero account to be able to access it from any computer
- Share references and collaborate with others
