Use pages for collaborative texts

As a teacher you can select that an individual page can be edited by your students. Thus initiating a collaboration or add a page where you ask the students to add information.
Allow the students to edit a page
Create a page by going to Pages and clicking on + Page. Pick a name for the page and click Save. Go to the text editor by clicking on the page’s header and then on Edit.
- Select Teachers and students in the dropdown-list under the text editor
- Check Add to students to-do to make the page visible in the students to-do list.
- Click Save
In the student view the Edit button is now visible and the students can edit the page just like you.
Who have edited and restoring earlier versions are find in the pages history
Canvas can’t really handle multiple users editing at once, but it doesn’t have to cause any trouble. Every time someone saves their edit it’s saved in the page history. If you believe that someone has overwritten someone else text you can with ease restore the missing text.
- Click on the dots to the right
- Select View page history
Now a list of all the versions are shown, you can also view how the different versions have looked.
