Text editor.

  1. Quick-select

In addition to the icons at points 3-5 you can in this menu make quick selections i.a. to edit the content, to insert a document, links, pictures or a horizontal line and to format your text.

A tip: when you insert a horizontal line it can make it easier for the students to quickly take part in the page's content. You can see an example of this with two horizontal lines between points 3 and 4 below.

  1. Font size and heading/paragraph

Remember to use headers instead of just making the text bigger/in bold. Headers can be read by tools for screenreading, this helps out a lot for the users in need of that support.

  1. Format

Bold, italic, underline, text colour and background colour, superscript and subscript.

Note! The icons corresponding to points 4 and 5 might not be visible to you. Click on the three dots to show them.

  1. Embed links, images, multimedia and documents

Click on the small arrow beside the respective icon to select how they should be embedded. The icon with a plug: embed an external tool (e.g. Play/Kaltura, Box etc.) Read more further down on this page.

  1. Text adjustments

Align, ordered and unordered lists, increase and decrease indent, clear formatting, table, insert math equation.
To be able to clear the formatting is a good idea if you've copied the text and the font came along, in that way you change the text to the standard font.

  1. Notify

Gives the students a notification if you’ve added information on the page

Embed material from an external tool

When you press on the plug a new window is opened to embed material from an external tool. Note that the following menu may differ depending on which external tools are enabled at your university.
