Lab 1

General

Lab 1 concerns controlling the water level in a double water filled by a pump. You will experiment both with manually controlling the pump for the tanks, and by manually tuning a P, PI, and PID controller for the pump. The purpose is for you to get hands-on experience with the difference between manual and automatic control, open and closed loops, and the significance of the P, I and D components of a PID controller.

This lab is scheduled to weeks 2 and 3 of the course. You must, however, sign up by the end of week 1, by January 21!
