Important information

In this lab, we will make use of describing function analysis to investigate limit cycles arising in the control of an air throttle process. It is highly recommended that you study the material in lecture 3 (slides and chapter 14 in Reglerteori by Glad & Ljung) and do the associated exercises (E3) before you start working on the preparatory assignments. These assignments take a significant amount of time, so it is important that you start well ahead of time. You are welcome to attend any exercise session should you need help with the preparatory work.
