Welcome email 2025 - for admitted students

This welcome email is intended for students that have received a notification of admission via their account on universityadmissions.se

Dear Students,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Master’s Programme in Biomedicine (VABME) at Lund University starting autumn 2025, congratulations on your admission.

Should you not be able to take your place on the programme for any reason, you need to notify this via My pages at  www.universityadmissions.se in order to cancel your placement on  the programme there so we become aware of your decision as well. This is because we need to know if we are to call any reserves to the programme.

Please make sure that you fulfill all admission requirements and other admission conditions by the start of the programme, otherwise your place on the programme might be lost.

Roll call

A mandatory roll call and information meeting will take place on Monday, September 1st, at 09:00 in Forum Medicum (E-building), Sölvegatan 19 in Lund.
A more specific room for the introduction meeting will be announced in the summer or early August 2025.
Attendance is compulsory for all students. Remember to bring a valid ID card (or passport), and, if you are conditionally admitted, proof of qualification (degree certificate) to be able to start the programme.

If you should find yourself unable to attend the roll call and introduction meeting, you must inform the Faculty Office,  e-mail: dennis_r.persson@med.lu.se. If you do not, you will lose your place in the programme.

Further essential information
You will find essential information about the Master’s Programme in Biomedicine, such as programme overview with courses and their syllabi, study tools and other useful information about the programme in their virtual learning environment on the learning platform Canvas:

https://canvas.education.lu.se/courses/13412
The information will be updated during the spring for autumn 2025, but still useful for you before you have started the programme.

Web registration

The courses within the programme will use web registration I LADOK, which means that you must register yourself for each course in LADOK (our study documentation system).
The web registration will usually open one week before the start of each course. You as a student have the main responsibility to register yourselves on courses on the programme during their studies on the programme.
You find more information here: https://www.lunduniversity.lu.se/current-students/new-students/your-student-account

Notification of arrival by September 1st
You should accept Yes on UniversityAcceptance which we use here at Lund University as a way for you to say whether you aim to come at the introduction meeting on September 1st.
You will receive more information about this in the welcome information from Lund University’s central administration. This will not affect your admission to the programme but is a way for us to see that you will be arriving on time for the introduction meeting and the start of the programme. More information about this and deadline will be sent out later by Lund University in a separate e-mail.

Arrival day (not compulsory)

The Arrival Day for incoming students is on August 19th 2025 for degree students in Lund. The university will offer different kinds of service that day, and activities during the two Orientation Weeks before the semester starts on September 1st  2025. All students are welcome, but this service is especially recommended for students new to Sweden and the university.  For more information visit the following links: Before you arrive | Lund University and Arrival Day | Lund University / Orientation Weeks | Lund University
