When creating or editing an assignment or a quiz, you can set different due and availability dates for a student within an assignment that is assigned to the rest of the class. That way students with a recommendation for extended time can get a different due date and time on their exams or assignments.

Settings for the quiz or assignment

In this example the students will get access to the exam March 25:th at 8 am. They have six hours to hours to complete and the end time is set at 2 pm. One student has a recommendation for extended time and the end time at 5 pm.

Set date and time for the examination.
Click on +Add for adding students with extended time.
Type the name of the student in the Assign to field. Search fields are dynamic, and you can search for students by first or last name. When the full name appears, click the name. You can include more than one student in the Assign to field as long as the students are to be assigned the same due and availability dates.

Following information will be visible when you have saved the settings for the assignment or quiz:

The students will only see the information that concerns oneself. Everyone else can’t se the settings for the students with extended time and vice versa.

To add another student with a different due date and availability dates, click the +Add button and do step 3 and 4 one more time.
